But let me start at the beginning.

For more than a decade, I’ve experienced a ton of fulfillment helping people with all kinds of addictions find the peace, freedom, and joy of a life in recovery.

My clinical practice, which includes both group and individual therapy, provides constant challenges, discoveries, and meaning in my day-to-day life.

And yet…

I’d been running my practice, Freedom Recovery Group, for more than six years when I got to the point of running on empty.

I felt stuck in my career, the fires of desire more or less extinguished.

Looking back, I see the symptoms of burnout were all right there.

The needless worrying; the constant self-doubt; the feelings of hopelessness about advancement…

I had even started a slow slide into neglecting my health and finances.

Thankfully, that was also the point when I met my boyfriend, an athlete and personal trainer who’s coached hundreds of people to meet their fitness goals.

Meeting Chris was like a lightning bolt going off in my life, as far as love’s impact on my head and on my heart. Suddenly, there was a bright, shining spotlight on all the dark, cobwebby corners of myself I had been trying to hide from everyone — including myself!

Part of that awakening was realizing that helping people overcome the worst of themselves was only a fraction of what I truly wanted to do.

I wanted to start showing people the best OF themselves: YOUR capacity to ignite the power of love IN YOUR LIFE.

I’m grateful to Chris for helping me believe I can fulfill a strong and loving coaching role that will powerfully and positively benefit my present and future clients. I hope he’ll eventually start training Burning Desire clients who are making physical fitness a part of their Burning Desire!

But I’m especially grateful to the power of LOVE to provide limitless fun, discovery, challenge, and fulfillment in my own, evolving serious relationship with my Burning Desire.

Because the thing about coaching is this:

if it’s not fulfilling… why do it?
